Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a national law firm in Minneapolis supporting their Real Estate team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work model (4 days in office/1 day remote).
The Legal Assistant's responsibilities include:
Provides skilled, proactive administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and others as needed.
Exhibits outstanding client service orientation in greeting guests, scheduling meetings, and arranging telephone conferences.
Assists in managing client contacts, emails, and documents as well as processing mail.
Prepares and reviews documents, letters and memoranda according to Firm standards.
Proactively monitors deadlines and maintains communication with attorneys regarding same.
Processes requests for payment and reimbursements.
Enters attorney billable hours into the firm billing program and assists with the billing process.
Creates, maintains and retires files in accordance with the Firm's Information Governance Policy.
Drafts basic documents and emails.
Responds to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes work.
Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner.
Displays strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of Legal Assistant experience strongly preferred.
Education beyond high school or coursework related to the legal industry preferred.
Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
